Never look back is a very personal painting and explores the "what if."
I had the opportunity to move to Japan in 2015, and it was such a huge turning point for my art and career as an artist. However, it's also where my alopecia came back (worse than ever as my hair totally fell out and still hasn't grown back.) It's easy to wonder if it won't have fallen out if I didn't go. This painting is my realization that even through everything, I have no regrets with any of my choices. I never look back.

Emotional Impact
In 2015, all my hair fell out with my alopecia. For years I hid and cried and was embarrassed to be seen. 10 years later, I did the scariest thing and went to the state fair bald. I was terrified. But you know what? I ended the night feeling totally empowered. I never felt so vulnerable in my life, and I ended up having a night filled with love and support. I started putting my art on clothing to help feel more confident, live boldly, and celebrate feeling beautiful on the outside and inside. It makes me so happy that other women get to feel beautiful and confident too.
