If you know me, you know I love the fair. The tents, the ferris wheel. The cotton candy, the corn dogs. The heat, excitement of the first ride on the merry- go- round.
I grew up going to the fair once a year with my best friends, doing the scrambler, and it was the highlight of my summer.
Life's a Circus is one of my paintings expressing the joy and fun of the fair, and it's even better I get to go with my boys and share their joy.

In 2015, all my hair fell out with my alopecia. For years I hid and cried and was embarrassed to be seen. 10 years later, I did the scariest thing and went to the state fair bald. I was terrified. But you know what? I ended the night feeling totally empowered. I never felt so vulnerable in my life, and I ended up having a night filled with love and support. I started putting my art on clothing to help feel more confident, live boldly, and celebrate feeling beautiful on the outside and inside. It makes me so happy that other women get to feel beautiful and confident too.
